Defence Industry Education & Skills Consortium (DIESC)

The Defence Industry Education and Skills Consortium (DIESC) is an initiative of a cross-state group of universities, vocational education providers and industry bodies to provide a practical solution to the effective coordination of education and skills provision in the defence industry sector and especially, although not exclusively, in the naval shipbuilding arena.

Programs and Initiatives to boost STEM Pipeline

The partners in the DIESC are strongly committed to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education and have introduced a wide range of initiatives and STEM-based bachelor degree programs to ensure a steady pipeline of qualified graduates to meet requirements across the defence industry. Contained within many of these STEM-based professional programs are foundational skills in business and project management.
